Incentives for Consumers

  • Consumers may be eligible for a $150 rebate towards a whole-house energy evaluation* for the first 1,000 homes participating in KY Home Performance (KHP), plus a free whole-house quality assurance evaluation.  Quality assurance evaluations must be performed by a participating KY Home Performance Building Performance Institute building analyst.  Quality assurance evaluations will be provided by a third-party, independent, quality assurance provider.
  • Consumers may be eligible for special rebates of up to $2,000 for the installation of approved energy-efficient measures made to single-family residences participating in KY Home Performance.  Consumers may be eligible for special rebates of 20% up to $2,000 for the installation of approved energy-efficient measures made to single-family residences participating in KY Home Performance.
  • Consumers may be eligible to apply for a below-market unsecured loan in lieu of rebates for the installation of approved energy-efficient measures made to single-family residences participating in KHP.  For homeowners who may not have the up-front funds for energy-efficient measures, KHP can provide a low interest loan. For a limited time KHP is offering a special 3.99 percent promotional rate for the first 100 KHP loans.  Loan terms cannot exceed ten years of the life of the energy efficiency equipment installed.  Minimum credit score of 640, terms and other conditions apply.

  • Consumers may also qualify for additional rebates for qualifying improvements from participating utility providers as well as available state and federal tax credits.
