KHP Certified Evaluator (this is also referred to as an assessor, contractor, or service provider)

REQUIREMENTS:  BPI BA certification, training by KHP, must have all insurance and licensure required by state and local authorities.

ROLE:  whole-house energy evaluator, runs the software for the job, identifies energy efficiency jobs to be done, and reviews the work to document for program.

KHP Certified Evaluator/Contractor (also called installer or service provider)

REQUIREMENTS:  BPI BA certification, training by KHP, must have EPA lead certificate, must have all insurance and licensure required by state and local authorities.

ROLE:  whole-house energy evaluator, runs the software for the job, identifies energy efficiency jobs to be done, and executes or oversees all home energy improvements.

KHP Approved Contractor (also called installer and service provider)

REQUIREMENTS:  training by KHP, must have EPA lead certificate, must have all insurance and licensure required by state and local authorities.

ROLE:  Follow KHP best practices and itemized list of energy efficiency improvements developed by the whole-house energy evaluation. The approved contractor needs to follow the guidance of the KHP-Certified Evaluator and the Assessment recommendations.

Assessment- (can also be called evaluation, inspection, or CHEA)

consists of two parts, whole-house energy evaluation and quality assurance evaluation: a whole house diagnostic test that measures energy performance, generates a list of recommended energy efficiency improvements, and measures the home energy efficiency improvements that result.
